Summary Report

Anthropic reports early drug discovery results with six partners, including more compact, higher-expressing CAR-T designs.

  • 01. Partnerships with six drug developers; own programmes for rare childhood muscular dystrophy
  • 02. CAR-T designs 70% shorter with 10x more receptors in lab tests
Anthropic's scientists have spent months in research partnerships with six drug developers, including Bristol Myers Squibb and Generate Biomedicines, and it has started its own drug discovery programmes, including for rare childhood forms of muscular dystrophy. At Generate, scientists used Claude Code to redesign the genetic instructions inside CAR-T cell therapies for solid tumours; Anthropic says the designs were 70% shorter and produced ten times more receptors in lab tests. These are early lab results.
