Summary Report
Gemini now works inside Google Maps navigation on CarPlay for conversational routing, parking and traffic reports.
- 01. Conversational parking, routing and toll-avoidance while navigating
- 02. First voice assistant for Google Maps on CarPlay; live in the US
Google has brought Gemini to Google Maps on Apple CarPlay. While navigating, tap the Gemini icon and talk to it: ask for the best place to park, find a park with city views, check whether now is a good time to go given crowds and weather, or start a route avoiding tolls. You can also report crashes and road disruptions without touching the screen. It's the first voice assistant Google Maps has had on CarPlay, live in the US with a global rollout under way.
