Manus just added phone-as-remote to its desktop app. You can now start tasks, access files, and trigger workflows on your computer from your phone - without touching the machine. The feature builds on Manus's My Computer desktop app, which Meta launched earlier this month. That app already lets the AI agent read, edit, and control local files and applications directly on your device. The phone remote extends that to anywhere - send a command from your phone while you're out, and the agent executes it on your desktop back home. This is the same pattern Claude Code shipped with its mobile sessions, and the same idea behind OpenClaw's messaging integrations. The pitch across all of them is identical: decouple the AI agent from the physical machine. Start something, walk away, check in from your pocket. Every major AI tool is racing to the same destination - your phone as a remote control for an agent that lives on your computer. Manus, Claude Code, OpenClaw. The interface war is moving from the desktop to the lock screen.
