Perplexity Computer Gets Skills!

Perplexity Computer now has Skills - so repeatable tasks are far easier to run and, well, repeat. Skills are quickly becoming an essential part of any AI service, so this is very much welcome. Perplexity Computer was released last week and has had some rave reviews. Now they've added a Skills layer to the agentic AI product. You define a capability once, and Computer applies it automatically going forward, without needing to be briefed again each time. The practical value is persistence. Most AI agents reset between sessions, which means users end up re-explaining the same context repeatedly. Memory and continuity are becoming some of the most important features across agentic AI, and can often make or break the service. Skills have become one of the standard ways to address this issue, they're simple, and they work well. Let's see if this addition helps Computer to gain even more fans.
