Summary Report
Perplexity launches Teammates, always-on work agents with their own desktop and browser, for Max subscribers.
- 01. Always-on agents with their own desktop and browser; work in Slack
- 02. Max subscribers on the web; 10,000 created internally
Perplexity has launched Teammates, agents that take on ongoing work rather than single questions. Give one a goal, like tracking metrics or triaging bugs, and it plans the work, brings in other agents and runs around the clock with its own desktop and browser. Teammates can watch Slack channels, message coworkers and ask before they act. They're available to Max subscribers on the web, with apps coming soon. Perplexity says its staff have created ten thousand of them, twenty times its headcount.
