Shopify just launched the AI Toolkit - a plugin system that lets you manage your entire store through your favourite AI coding agent. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI - pick your weapon. It's free, open source, and MIT licensed. Shopify isn't building their own AI - they're making their platform work with everyone else's. An indie team is building a co-op PvE extraction shooter entirely in Three.js - the JavaScript 3D library that runs in a web browser. Two months in, and it already looks surprisingly good. A multiplayer extraction shooter built in JavaScript - a few years ago that sentence would have been a punchline. Claude is now in Microsoft Word. The new Claude for Word beta lets you draft, edit, and revise documents directly from a sidebar inside Word. Edits appear as tracked changes, and Claude preserves your formatting. Claude in Excel, Claude in PowerPoint, and now Claude in Word - Anthropic is embedding itself directly into the tools where work actually happens. OpenAI researchers have reportedly solved five additional Erdos problems using an internal model - and excitement around their next model, codenamed Spud, is growing by the day. Since Christmas, 15 Erdos problems have moved from open to solved, with 11 crediting AI involvement.
